Basketball Recap: Bennington Piles Up the Points Against Sedgwick

Bennington won the last time they faced Sedgwick and things went their way on Friday too. The Bennington Bulldogs really took it to the Sedgwick Cardinals for the full four quarters, racking up a 46-9 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Bennington to victory were Jordan Bartlett and Rori Miles. Bartlett posted ten points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals, while Miles earned 14 points and four steals. Miles is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taleigh Watson, who scored five points and three steals.

The win (which was Bennington's third in a row) raised their record to 17-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points over those games. As for Sedgwick, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Bennington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sedgwick, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-38 defeat against Sterling on the 25th.
