Florence is 0-10 against Blanco since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Florence Buffaloes will be playing at home against the Blanco Panthers at 6:15 p.m. Florence is out to stop a 12-game streak of losses at home.
Last Tuesday, Florence came up short against Llano and fell 40-28. Florence has not had much luck with Llano recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, Blanco didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Ingram Moore on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 41-36 victory.
Blanco's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kaylee Romero, who scored 19 points along with two steals, and Mina Broyles, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Broyles is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Capshaw, who scored four points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Florence has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-21 record this season. As for Blanco, their win bumped their record up to 13-16.
