Rocky Bayou Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Lathan Johnson and Devin Hicks. Johnson scored 16 points along with two steals, while Hicks scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Johnson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Calix McCune was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Rocky Bayou Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
Rocky Bayou Christian will look to defend their home court on Friday against Freeport at 6:45 p.m. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Central: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Calvary Christian Academy has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
