It was a good run, but Greenwood unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 60-53 to the Greenville Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Hornets are ranked 30th).

Leading Greenville to victory were Kolbie Williams and De'Marion Gibson. Williams went 7 for 11 on his way to 20 points and four steals, while Gibson posted 20 points and six assists. The contest was Gibson's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Titus, who earned eight points.

Greenwood's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Greenville, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
