On Tuesday, Norfolk Catholic earned a 47-36 win over Wayne.
It was another big night for Avery Yosten, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last three games she's played. Sidonia Wattier was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Crofton was able to grind out a solid victory over Pierce on Thursday, taking the game 44-34. Given Crofton's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Pierce is ranked 61st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Norfolk Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Crofton, their victory bumped their record up to 18-0.
Norfolk Catholic took a serious blow against Crofton in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 64-30. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Norfolk Catholic was down 37-12.
