Webbers Falls had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a serious blow against Porum last Friday, falling 0-50.
Meanwhile, Arkoma had to kick off their season on the road, but they showed no ill effects. They took the contest and then some with a 36-0 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point they had established a 30-0 advantage.
Arkoma's win lifted them to 1-0 while Webbers Falls's loss dropped them down to 0-1. In their win, Arkoma relied heavily on sophomore Grant Williams, who rushed for 118 yards and 1 touchdown; a key strategy for Webbers Falls will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
