There's no place like home for Banning, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Twentynine Palms Wildcats on Friday as they made off with a 42-22 win. The Broncos have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.
Banning's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JMARI GARLINGTON, who picked up 242 receiving yards and three TDs. GARLINGTON's longest reception was for an incredible 71 yards. JADONNIE NICHOLS also helped out as he racked up 163 receiving yards.
Banning didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of TYLER PULLEN and CECIL ANDERSON. PULLEN has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played.
Although Twentynine Palms took the loss, they still got scores from Wyatt Granger, Aaron Haney, and Josh Reynoso.
Banning has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Twentynine Palms, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Banning and Twentynine Palms will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Broncos are set to square off against their familiar foe Desert Hot Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Twentynine Palms will face off against rival Indio at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
