Basketball Game Preview: Carver Vo-Tech Bears vs. Forest Park Foresters

Carver Vo-Tech hasn't had much luck against Forest Park recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Carver Vo-Tech Bears will be playing at home against the Forest Park Foresters at 5:15 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Carver Vo-Tech blew past Southwestern, posting a 64-11 victory. That 53 point margin sets a new team best for the Bears this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carver Vo-Tech to victory, but perhaps none more so than David Ross, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Ross is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. Jordan Prior was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Carver Vo-Tech smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Forest Park, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They blew past Coppin Academy 68-35 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Foresters have posted since February 6, 2024.

Forest Park is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Carver Vo-Tech, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
