Basketball Game Preview: Bloomfield Christian School Defenders vs. FAITH HomeSchool Falcons

The Bloomfield Christian School Defenders and the FAITH HomeSchool Falcons will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bloomfield Christian School is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.8 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Bloomfield Christian School was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-52 to Springfield Christian Academy. The Defenders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bloomfield Christian School's loss came about despite a quality game from Owen Thomas, who went 8 for 19 on his way to 21 points. The contest was Thomas' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Ignatowski, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask FAITH HomeSchool). Everything went their way against More Academy on Tuesday as FAITH HomeSchool made off with a 71-50 victory. The win was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on three straight.

FAITH HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Bloomfield Christian School, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Bloomfield Christian School was able to grind out a solid win over FAITH HomeSchool in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 61-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bloomfield Christian School since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
