The Clinton Red Devils stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 64-16 victory over Chester. The victory was nothing new for Clinton as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Clinton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mylayja Thompson, who scored 11 points along with seven steals and five assists. Thompson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenzie Clark, who scored 11 points along with six steals.
Clinton is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Chester, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Clinton will be playing at home against the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Emerald has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Chester does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
