It was a good run, but the Roosevelt Roughriders unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 63-38 walloping at the hands of Mount Si. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Roosevelt has suffered yet this season.
Roosevelt lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Anthony Washington, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Huntington, who scored eight points.
Mount Si was led to victory by Trevor Hennig and Latt Ford. Hennig scored 20 points along with five rebounds, while Ford scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. Ford hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Forrest, who scored two points along with 12 assists and five rebounds.
Roosevelt's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-3. As for Mount Si, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with that victory, which was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season.
Roosevelt will take on Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 312th, while Roosevelt is ranked 34th). As for Mount Si, they will head out on the road to face off against Skyline at 8:15 p.m. on Friday.
