The Conard Red Wolves''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by East Hartford 72-26. Conard was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Hartford apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Drayvn Roberts was his usual excellent self, rushing for 168 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 220 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 passes. Roberts is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played. Dallas West did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 120 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Conard's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for East Hartford, their win bumped their record up to 4-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conard will take on Glastonbury at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Hartford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
