The Jefferson Blue Jays had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. They managed a 60-54 win over Saxony Lutheran. For Jefferson, this counts as revenge for the 51-40 loss Saxony Lutheran walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.
Saxony Lutheran lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Luke Eggemeyer, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. Eggemeyer hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for 17 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of John Hartmann, who scored 17 points.
Jefferson pushed their record up to 15-5 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Saxony Lutheran, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8.
Jefferson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 75-59 victory vs. DeSoto on the 7th. Saxony Lutheran has also already played their next contest, a 56-41 win against Chaffee on the 8th.
