The Boone Central Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the St. Paul Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Boone Central will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
Last Friday, Boone Central faced Pierce in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Boone Central walked away with a 26-14 victory over Pierce.
JAMES FOGLEMAN looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 156 yards and two touchdowns. PARKER BORER also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 46 points the game before, St. Paul were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were outmatched by Central City on the road and fell 44-7.
Boone Central's victory was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.3 points per game. St. Paul has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Boone Central against St. Paul in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 48-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Boone Central since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
