On Thursday Addison Guentensberger tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The performance marked the fewest hits Guentensberger has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her fourth in a row with less than two walks. For the year, she has an ERA of 4.82 over 36.3 innings pitched.

Guentensberger and Orange will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Southern Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on April 10. Guentensberger had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their matchup last Tuesday 13-6. Could another big game from her be enough to change the outcome this time?
