Steven Bronson posted a new career-low in hits on Thursday. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 16 over 5.1 innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Bronson and Beekmantown will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Peru at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th. The Eagles had to take a loss when they last met the Nighthawks, but Bronson had little to do with the loss: he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits.
