Magnolia's last matchup with Santiago could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Friday. The Sentinels came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 13-1. The Sentinels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Magnolia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Moniz, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another was Santiago Cortez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, Bolsa Grande posted their closest victory since February 28th on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Saddleback 8-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Bolsa Grande let Mikey Haley Jr. and Samuel Montes De Oca run wild. Haley Jr. went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases and three RBI, while Montes De Oca scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Montes De Oca has become a key player for Bolsa Grande: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Junior Rizo, who scored two runs while going 4-for-5.
Bolsa Grande was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Magnolia hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like Bolsa Grande struggles in that department as they've averaged .349. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Magnolia took their win against Bolsa Grande when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 19-13 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sentinels since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
