The Moss Point Tigers were the 51-39 winner over the Bay Springs Bulldogs when they last played one another back in January of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. Moss Point suffered a rough 43-21 loss at the hands of Bay Springs on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Moss Point has scored all season.
Moss Point's loss came despite strong showings from Quey'sean Taylor and Charles Turner. Taylor scored five points along with six rebounds, while Turner scored no points along with three blocks. Turner also grabbed two steals for the first time this season.
Moss Point's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Bay Springs, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.
Moss Point and Wingfield will round out the year against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday at. Wingfield is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Bay Springs won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Heidelberg at 7:15 p.m. on December 23rd. Heidelberg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Bay Springs is ranked 50th).
