The Mount Everett Regional Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They suffered a tough 32-12 defeat at the hands of Athol.
Among those leading the charge was Jenna Bonenfant, who scored 11 points along with two steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Martin, who scored five points along with two steals.
Mount Everett Regional's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Athol, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-14.
Mount Everett Regional will head out on the road to challenge Springfield Renaissance at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Springfield Renaissance will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something Mount Everett Regional surely won't give up without a fight. As for Athol, they will be playing at home against Pioneer Valley Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Athol focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
