Bonita hasn't had much luck against Ayala recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bearcats will head out to square off against the Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bonita 4, Ayala 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Bonita and Glendora, and Glendora kept the tradition alive. The Bearcats fell just short of the Tartans by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday.

Serenity Reyes was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Koa Puppe was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyy Hicks, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Ayala entered their tilt with Diamond Bar on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Brahmas. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 17, 2018, but that streak is no more.
Jayden Tamura was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Taelor Walker was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
Ayala kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games.
Ayala pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Bonita, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
Thursday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bonita hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. However, it's not like Ayala struggles in that department as they've averaged .385. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bonita couldn't quite get it done against Ayala in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 6-1. Can the Bearcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
