Even though the Norwich Purple Tornado scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, the Johnson City Wildcats still came out on top. Johnson City walked away with a 67-56 win over Norwich. The win made it back-to-back wins for Johnson City.
Johnson City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Felix Morales led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Tameem Abdul 'qahhar was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 7 assists and 7 rebounds.
Johnson City's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Norwich, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Johnson City will stay at home for another game and welcome Athens at 3:15 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Athens focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. As for Norwich, they will head out on the road to face off against Chenango Forks at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
