Even though the Norwich Purple Tornado scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, the Johnson City Wildcats still came out on top. Johnson City walked away with a 67-56 win over Norwich. The win made it back-to-back wins for Johnson City.
Johnson City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Felix Morales led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Tameem Abdul 'qahhar was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 7 assists and 7 rebounds.
Johnson City's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Norwich, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Johnson City will stay at home for another game and welcome Athens at 3:15 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Athens focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
