The Beauregard Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Gulf Shores Dolphins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Beauregard was fully in charge, breezing past Lincoln 37-7 at home. With Beauregard ahead 28-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Among those leading the charge was Jacori Tarver, who rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Another player making a difference was Javonn Holman, who rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Gulf Shores put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Rain with a sharp 43-21 win. Gulf Shores pushed the score to 37-14 by the end of the third, a deficit Rain cut but never quite recovered from.
It was another big night for Kolin Wilson, who rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last five times he's played. Ronnie Royal also deserves a shout-out for his three touchdowns.
Beauregard's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-4. As for Gulf Shores, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0.
