Baseball Game Preview: Marian Catholic vs. Weatherly

Marian Catholic is a perfect 10-0 against Weatherly since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Marian Catholic will take on Weatherly at 4:30 p.m. Marian Catholic knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Weatherly likes a good challenge.

Marian Catholic came out on top against Nativity BVM on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run seventh inning. Marian Catholic was the clear victor by a 12-3 margin over Nativity BVM. The result was nothing new for Marian Catholic, who have now won four matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Weatherly's offense. They lost 15-0 to Shenandoah Valley on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, Weatherly's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Weatherly's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Marian Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Marian Catholic took their victory against Weatherly in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marian Catholic since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
