Even though the Jenkins Warriors have not done well against the Bradwell Institute Tigers recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Jenkins came out on top against Bradwell Institute by a score of 51-42. The victory was all the more spectacular given Jenkins' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while Bradwell Institute is ranked 33rd).
Bradwell Institute lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Parris Parham, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Parham is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 17 or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Rogers, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Jenkins' victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14. As for Bradwell Institute, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 20-4.
Jenkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bradwell Institute, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenbrier at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bradwell Institute is facing Greenbrier at the right time seeing as Greenbrier is stuck on a eight-game losing streak.
