There's no place like home for Ann Sobrato, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They walked away with a 40-30 win over the Piedmont Hills Pirates on Saturday. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Brayden Hughes threw for 109 yards on nine of 13 attempts. Michael Moore was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards. On the ground, Brady Lennon rushed for 242 yards while picking up 14.2 yards per carry.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alijah Torres, who rushed for 90 yards and two scores.

Ann Sobrato's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Piedmont Hills, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-3.

Ann Sobrato has already played their next game, a 28-7 win against Westmont on the 11th. As for Piedmont Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 27-6 victory against Overfelt on the 10th.
