Reante Byrd Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Hephzibah had to settle for second even though Reante Byrd put up the best numbers he has all season. Byrd rushed for 204 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run.
Byrd and Hephzibah will square off against Academy of Richmond County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will pit Byrd up against the Musketeers' star rusher Mykheal Smith. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Ty Cummings stepped things up a notch to give West Laurens the 'W'. Hephzibah had no answer to Cummings as he rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Cummings' longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.
For the season, Cummings has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 128.6 rushing yards per game.

Adkins Came Up Big in West Laurens' 56-28 Victory
Another West Laurens player making an appearance on this list is Shannon Adkins. He rushed for 26 yards and three touchdowns.
This season, Adkins has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 22 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had four rushing touchdowns.

Jacolbie Allen's Big Game Leads Howard over Cross Creek

The victory (which was Howard's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Allen and Howard will head out to square off against Harlem at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
