Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central). In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 62-61 win over the Chester Yellowjackets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

When it comes to explaining why Chester lost on Saturday, don't look at Lexie Mott. Despite the final result, she went 10 of 12 on her way to 25 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Mott a new career-high in blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessica Stumpe, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 16 points.

The victory got Central back to even at 3-3. As for Chester, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Central is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Alton at 6:00 p.m. on December 21st. As for Chester, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cairo at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
