While Santa Ynez had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-21.
San Luis Obispo will have to keep a close watch on Haley Spry and Lila Cassidy, a pair of players who had a big impact on Santa Ynez's prior game. Spry had 15 digs and two aces, while Cassidy had 12 digs and three aces. Pearl Malloy also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
San Luis Obispo's win bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Santa Ynez, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9.
