The Clarksville Generals's game on Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They breezed by Lighthouse Christian Academy on the road to the tune of 66-36. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Clarksville also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clarksville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayonna Shirley, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds. Tiarra Lewis was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 4 steals.
Jane Holdeman and Abagail Rousey certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Holdeman scored 6 points along with 11 rebounds and 4 steals, while Rousey scored 8 points.
Even though they lost, Lighthouse Christian Academy were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clarksville only pulled down 20.
Clarksville's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Lighthouse Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Clarksville will head out on the road to face off against Orleans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Orleans is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Lighthouse Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tabernacle Christian at 6:15 p.m. on November 28th.
