Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the North Shore Mustangs walked away with it. They walked away with a 23-14 victory over the Chaparrals on Saturday. North Shore's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Leading North Shore to victory were D?andre Hardeman jr and Kaleb Bailey. Hardeman jr rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown, while Bailey rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown. Hardeman jr set a new season high mark in carries with 29.
Despite the loss, Westlake still got an impressive performance from Jack Kayser, who rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown.
North Shore's victory bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Westlake, their loss dropped their record down to 14-1.
North Shore will be home for the holidays to greet Duncanville at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Duncanville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 720 points over their last 14 matchups. Westlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
