Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Broadview/Lavina beat Roberts 45-40. The win made it back-to-back wins for Broadview/Lavina.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Reed Point/Rapelje's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were beaten by Plevna 62-34.
Despite the defeat, Reed Point/Rapelje saw an underclassman step up: Maxwell Hanes scored 9 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Hanes is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ben Broyles, who scored 6 points along with 10 rebounds.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 2-0 season records intact.
Everything came up roses for Broadview/Lavina against Reed Point/Rapelje in their previous matchup back in February as the squad secured a 64-30 win. Will Broadview/Lavina repeat their success, or does Reed Point/Rapelje have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
