Branden Davis had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 423 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 18.4 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 90-yard run. Shaun Taylor was another key player, rushing for 73 yards and two touchdowns.
Taylor wasn't the only one working in the rushing yards department: Ezekiel Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 495 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 214 rushing yards in five consecutive games dating back to last season.
Ezekiel Academy is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they take on Freedom C at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both are at an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2016. As for Evangel Christian Academy, they will be defending their home-field for the first time for the first time when they go up against Meadowview Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
