Meanwhile, Ashley took a serious blow against Montabella on Tuesday, falling 61-26. Ashley was down 42-21 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Despite the loss, Ashley had strong showings from Karissa Brady, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and five steals, and Marissa Brady, who scored two points along with seven rebounds. Brady has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times she's played.
Carson City-Crystal's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Ashley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
