Ionia came tearing into  Tuesday's  contest with ten straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single  set of losing the streak, but they secured  a   3-2 W against the Eaton Rapids Greyhounds. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the   3-2 victory the Greyhounds walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in October of 2024.
 Ionia had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-20,  15-12.
Ionia's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Paislie Patterson, who  had 25  digs and eight  aces. That's the most  digs  Patterson has posted since back in September.  Avery Hoppough was another key player,  getting 20  digs.
 They weren't the only good servers: Ionia  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 18  aces. They  served eight more  aces than Eaton Rapids' also-impressive total of ten.
  Kalli Ordiway and  Abi Pratt certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss.  Ordiway  had 21  digs, while  Pratt  had seven  digs and three  aces. Ordiway has been hot recently, having  posted 12 or more  digs the last three times she's  played.
Ionia's record now sits at 33-4. As for Eaton Rapids, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9-5.
 Ionia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  0-0  victory against Sexton on the 25th. As for Eaton Rapids, they have also already played their next match,  a  2-0  defeat against Lakewood on the 25th.
