It was a good run, but the Northwest Christian School Crusaders unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to St. George's 59-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Northwest Christian School lost, one person who can't be blamed is Asher West. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points. The match was West's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Slade, who scored six points.
Northwest Christian School's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for St. George's, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest Christian School will be home for the holidays to greet Kettle Falls at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. George's will be home for the holidays to greet Davenport at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Davenport will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 207th, while St. George's is ranked 36th).
