Bearden put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Kirby Trojans a 13-0 shutout. Considering the Bears have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Bearden's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 8.8 runs thus far. As for Kirby, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bearden beat the Trojans by a score of 15-0 later that day.
