Queen's Grant lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaylan Mack, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermaine Moncrieffe, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Queen's Grant has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Albemarle, their win bumped their record up to 2-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Queen's Grant won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Valor Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Averaging 65.4 so far this season, Valor Preparatory Academy's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Queen's Grant better be ready for a challenge. As for Albemarle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Uwharrie Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Uwharrie Charter is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
