After flying high against Paint Valley last Thursday, Zane Trace came back down to earth. The Pioneers fell 3-1 to the Adena Warriors on Tuesday. The Pioneers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
While Zane Trace ultimately came up short, they really made Adena work, particularly in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 22-25, 26-24.
Karlee Snavely paced Zane Trace's offense, picking up 22 kills. Snavely got some help from Lydia Jarrell and her 25 assists. Finally, Kailee Johnson kept Zane Trace's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
Kimmy Dalton went supernova For Adena., getting 22 digs and two aces. Dalton is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Adyson Wisecup also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.
Zane Trace's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Adena, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.
