Abbeville Christian Academy's game  last Friday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Poplar Springs Atomics  a   19-0 shutout. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Generals as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 McKenzie Tomlin and  Annston Braddy were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Tomlin   pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Braddy   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. At the plate,  Tomlin  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances, while  Braddy  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave  Braddy a new career-high in  RBI (two).
 In other batting news, Abbeville Christian Academy let  Cassie Braddy and  Evie Fortson run wild. Braddy  scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while going 1-for-1, while  Fortson  scored three  runs while going 2-for-2. Those  three  runs gave  Fortson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Taylor Hudspeth, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 Abbeville Christian Academy  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Poplar Springs didn't  got any hits.
Abbeville Christian Academy's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Poplar Springs, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the  loss, which was their third straight  at home.
 Abbeville Christian Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Poplar Springs at 6:00  p.m.  on April 1st. As for Poplar Springs, they will face off against Laurel Hill on March 24th. Poplar Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2  runs per game  this season.
