The St. Paul Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Holdrege Dusters at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully St. Paul focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Monday.
Last Monday, St. Paul's game was all tied up 29-29 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 59-52 win over Ord.
Gracie Kelley was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Mudloff, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Holdrege was able to grind out a solid win over Doniphan-Trumbull on Tuesday, taking the game 47-36.
St. Paul has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-14 record this season. As for Holdrege, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Things could have been worse for St. Paul, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 42-28 loss to Holdrege in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can St. Paul avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
