 Caylee Snow tossed a big game,   striking out 11 batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 5.2  strikeouts per game.
 On the hitting side,  Emma Woodlief was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. Those  RBI marked the first that  she  brought in this season. Another player making a difference was  Leah Troutman, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 Carson was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .407. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in February of 2024.
Carson's  victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Robinson,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
 Looking ahead, Carson will head out on the road to  challenge  South Rowan  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. The last three games South Rowan has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Robinson, they will host Central Cabarrus  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Robinson has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
