The William Floyd Colonials can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They breezed by Longwood on the road to the tune of 69-40. The win was nothing new for William Floyd as they're now sitting on ten straight.
William Floyd was led to victory by Shy Hawkins and Kayla Gilmore. Hawkins dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds, while Gilmore almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Gilmore is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jacqueline Sutherland, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
William Floyd's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Longwood, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
