Tray Wilson Turns in Season-Best Effort
Tray Wilson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Central to the win on Friday. Wilson rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 76 receiving yards and a touchdown. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 72 yards.
Wilson might have his next game, a home matchup with Chesterfield, circled on his calendar. When Wilson last faced the Golden Rams back in October of 2023, he picked up 99 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.

Cam McClendon was instrumental in extending Cheraw's winning streak to three on Friday. He is becoming a predictor of Cheraw's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 4-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
McClendon might have his next game, a road matchup with Buford, circled on his calendar. McClendon rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries the last time he and the Yellow Jackets duked it out back in October of 2023.

On Friday, Andrew Jackson had to settle for second even though Kamron Mcgill put up the best numbers he has all season. Mcgill wasn't messing around, picking up two sacks and making 14 total tackles. The contest was his eighth straight with five or more total tackles.
