Strawberry Crest has gone a perfect 4-0 against Sumner recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Chargers will head out on the road to take on the Stingrays at 7:00 p.m. Strawberry Crest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
Strawberry Crest was handed a six-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past St. Thomas Aquinas 5-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Chargers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nico Cappucci, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Toby Highsmith was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Sumner owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Riverview with a sharp 6-0 victory. The Stingrays haven't had any issues with the Sharks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
ETHAN DEJESUS looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, WINSTON PENNANT was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of KALOB WILLIAMS, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Strawberry Crest has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Sumner struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Strawberry Crest's way against Sumner in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Strawberry Crest made off with a 17-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
