The Nicholas County Grizzlies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They fell just short of PikeView by a score of 60-57. Nicholas County has not had much luck with PikeView recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Nicholas County still got an impressive performance from Trey Stump, who scored 25 points. Landon Hanna was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Nicholas County has not been sharp recently as the team has lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for PikeView, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nicholas County will take on Sissonville at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for PikeView, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bluefield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
