After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Reno, the Lowry Buckaroos were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pershing County 61-25 on the road. With that victory, Lowry brought their scoring average up to 50.6 points per game.
Dempsey Jenkins was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 17 points along with three steals. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for he. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Casalez, who scored 15 points.
Lowry's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Pershing County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
Lowry and Pyramid Lake will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Pyramid Lake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday. As for Pershing County, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Sierra Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th.
