The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rockford Auburn in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost nine in a row.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Juliya Coates, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Destiny Robinson, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Rockford Auburn has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season. As for Hononegah, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 22-3.
Rockford Auburn will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bucs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hononegah, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the E-Rabs at 6:30 p.m. on January 31st. The timing isn't great for Rockford East: they have been struggling with eight straight losses at home, while the Indians have snatched up 17 consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
