The Forrest Rockets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 75-39 loss at the hands of Cannon County. Forrest was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-17.
Forrest lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jimmy Bond, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Brayson Mccown, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Forrest has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season. As for Cannon County, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 18-6.
Forrest will head out on the road to face off against Cascade at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Forrest is coming into the contest with 15 straight losses on the road, meaning Cascade will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. Cannon County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
