Section 4 B Division III recap Oct. 3, 2012
Skylar Thompson of Oneonta ran for the longest rushing play in Section 4 B Division III this season against Norwich last week. Thompson scampered for 86 yards on the play and finished with 104 on the day as his team fell to the Tornadoes.
Norwich extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Oneonta, 41-22. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Chenango Valley's dynamic duo of Trevor Henige and Zack Collins proved tough for Chenango Forks to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Henige threw for 162 yards and two touchdowns and Collins had 164 yards receiving. Evan Trebilcock helped Chenango Valley's passing attack out by catching two balls for 18 yards.
6-foot-3 quarterback Brendan Lord of Dave Bishop's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 352. He has also thrown two touchdowns. On the ground, the Warriors' Anthony Miller has rushed for 332 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Collins. The Chenango Valley star has 13 catches for 245 yards.
A big matchup in Section 4 B Division III this week will be when Windsor Central takes on Chenango Valley. The Black Knights are in second place, while Jay Hope's team is in third place.
