There's no place like home for the Kendall Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on December 11th. They ended the year with a bang, routing Medina 74-51.
Despite the loss, Medina had strong showings from Jerrell Nealy, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Christian Moss, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Nealy also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Cole Callard, who scored eight points.
Even though they lost, Medina were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Kendall now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Medina, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kendall will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on January 11, 2024. As for Medina, they will head out on the road to face off against Royalton-Hartland at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Royalton-Hartland comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
